Obit – Mrs. Virginia Pirtle
Mrs. Virginia Pirtle, of North Fort Myers in Lee County, Florida, died at the age of 70 at 9:30 a.m. E. S. T. Sunday morning August, 9, 2020 at the Evans Health Care Center in Fort Myers.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon with Bro. Ritchie Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow the 1p.m. services in section two of the Ridgewood Cemetery.
Born Virginia Carol Duchow in Lockport in Niagara County, Michigan on February 1, 1950, she was the youngest of three children born to the late Charles Godford Duchow who died at the age of 77 in 1996 and Pauline Virginia Sterling Eastman Duchow who died July 11, 1998 at the age of 72 and they are buried side by side in the Lockland Cemetery in Lockport, New York.
Mrs. Pirtle was a 1968 graduate of Lockport High School in the Lockport City School District of New York.
She then received her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the Florida International University in Miami, Florida.
In 2007 she retired as a Certified Nurse Assistant and was employed as a home health nurse.
Mrs. Pirtle was a member of the Salvation Army Church in Fort Myers.
Surviving is the father of their son, Wayne Pirtle of Greenville, Tennessee; their son, Wesley Pirtle and wife Tara Runnels Pirtle of South Carthage; two brothers, Charles Duchow of Fort Myers, Florida and Ray Duchow of Mount Juliet; four grandchildren, Ethan Pirtle, Anthony Pirtle, Charles Pirtle and Lexie Wade.
