Obit – Mr. Ricky H. Holladay

Mr. Ricky H. Holladay, age 66, of Gordonsville, TN passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020.

Mr. Holladay was born February 8, 1954 in Lebanon, TN, a son of the late Hilton Ray Holladay and Fleta Ann Moore Holladay. He was also preceded in death by Sister; Kathy Beadle.

Ricky was a 1972 graduate of Smith County High School and attended Vol State in from 1997-1998 for courses in business management. He worked for Triple A Cooper as on over the road truck-driver and kept a perfect safe service driving record for many years. Mr. Holladay was a reserve deputy for the Smith County Sherriff’s Office. He was also a member of the Gideon’s International. Mr. Holladay was saved Easter Sunday, April 10, 1966, at the Rome Baptist Church under the preaching of Rev. O.J. Wood. He married Martha Anne Hackett on August 9, 1996 at the North Carthage Baptist Church. Mr. Holladay was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gordonsville.

Mr. Holladay is survived by Wife; Martha Hackett Holladay of Gordonsville, TN. Mother-in-Law; Frances Hackett of Gordonsville, TN. Sons; Danny (Carlye) Holladay of Aurora, CO, Keith Holladay of Lebanon, TN, and Kyle Holladay of Watertown, TN. Daughter; Elizabeth Holladay Rockwell of Nashville, TN. Grandchildren; Maddux, Maryn, Cody, Mason, Briley, and Caroline. Nephew; Cary Beadle. Nieces; April Ray and Anna Manners. Pups; Bankston Ray and Tilly May.

Graveside services and Interment for Mr. Holladay are scheduled to be conducted at the Smith County Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1PM with Bro. Ray Gilder officiating.

The family will gather just prior to the 1PM graveside.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, Gordonsville Building Fund or to the Gideons.
