Public Notice Public Notice to Gordonsville Residents and Developers Public notice is hereby given to residents and developers that the 2012 International Building Codes were adopted by the Gordonsville Board of Mayor and Aldermen on April 11,  2016, as Ord. No. 16-03-11. Under provisions of the building codes, the construction, extensive alteration, moving, and/ or demolition of residential, commercial, and industrial structures within the corporate limits of the municipality requires review by the Gordonsville Building Inspector as to the need for issuance of a building permit. On December 14, 2020, Ordinance No. 20-11-09-2 was adopted as an amendment to the Gordonsville Zoning Ordinance. This amendment provides revised regulations for signage, billboards, and other advertising structures that are located in the municipality along with operational rules for existing electronic message center signs and existing electronic display screen signs. The regulations also require a sign permit prior to the installation of certain signs and review by the Gordonsville Building Inspector.
