Obit – Mrs. Betty Katherine “Kathy” Stewart

Mrs. Betty Katherine “Kathy” Stewart, age 73 of Gordonsville, TN, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021.

Mrs. Stewart was born May 24, 1948 in Spring City, TN. She is preceded in death by Mother and Step-Father; Marie Roberts Thompson and Jim Thompson. Mrs. Stewart married Careal Stewart on April 19, 1978. She worked for several years at Smith County Headstart as a teacher. Mrs. Stewart also spent several years as a stay-at-home mom. She was a loving and caring wife and mother and will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by Husband; Careal Stewart of Gordonsville, TN. Son; Jason (Gayle) Stewart of Cookeville, TN. Step-son; Darrin Stewart of Hendersonville, TN. Grandchildren; Gauge Stewart and Jase Stewart. Brother; Gordon (Johnnie Sue) Roberts of Spring City, TN. Sister-in-Law; Gyla Manning of Gordonsville, TN. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Stewart are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 3PM with Rev. Jamie Seales officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.

Visitation with the Stewart Family will be at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Tuesday from 12PM until service time at 3PM.
