Obit – Mrs. Dorothy Lankford Sircy

Mrs. Dorothy Lankford Sircy, age 87 of Defeated Creek, died Monday evening, July 12 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. She is survived by: 4 children, Linda Norman and husband Mike of Phoenix, Arizona, Janie Kirby and husband Ricky of Lebanon, Glen Holland and wife Brenda of Gainesboro, Cynthia Thompson and husband Randy of Tanglewood; 2 step-sons, Mickey Sircy of Gainesboro, Roger Sircy of Livingston; brothers, Jack Lankford of Cookeville, Ebbie Lankford and wife Annette of South Carthage; 9 grandchildren, Lee Holland of Nashville, Lindsey Holland Norton and husband Courtney of Cookeville, Daniel Kirby and wife Kristina of Mt. Juliet, Lori Carter and husband Brandon of Lebanon, Eric West and wife Melanie of Defeated Creek, Andy West and wife Courtney of Carthage; 9 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Sircy is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted on Thursday afternoon, July 15 at 1:00 PM. Her pastor, Eld. Jeff Patterson, will have scripture and prayer and three of her grandsons, Andy West, Daniel Kirby and Lee Holland will present eulogies to celebrate her life. Interment in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Andy West, Eric West, Daniel Kirby, Lee Holland, Brandon Carter, Courtney Norton; honorary pallbearers are staff and management of the White House at Lafayette.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

The family has requested memorials to either Lankford Cemetery Mowing Fund or 321 Down Syndrome Awareness.
