Obit – Mr. Max “Gordie” Harper

Mr. Max “Gordie” Harper, age 81 of Mount Juliet, died Sunday evening, January 30 at St. Thomas West in Nashville. He is survived by: wife, Lynda Harper; daughter, Mary Shelton of Nashville; son, Jason Harper and wife Michelle of Mount Juliet; 4 grandchildren, Amanda Shelton, Samantha Shelton, William Harper, Abigail Harper; sister-in-law, Sue Harper of Nashville; cousin Pat Denton and wife Betty.

Mr.Harper is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Friday afternoon, February 4 at 1:00 PM. Bro. Billy Friel will officiate. Interment in the Ridgewood Cemetery in Carthage. Serving as pallbearers are: Brett Harper, Tim Harper, Mike Harper, Jonathan Harper, Joe Simms, Daniel Sloan.

Visitation on Thursday will be at Bond Funeral Home in Mount Juliet from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Friday at Sanderson Funeral Home in Carthage from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.

The family has requested memorials to Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home or St. Jude Hospital.
