Obit – Mr. Ernest Ralph Helm

Mr. Ernest Ralph Helm, age 94, of Gordonsville, TN, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Mr. Helm was born July 16, 1929 in the Silver Point community of Putnam County to the late Claude Washington Helm Sr. and Algie Frances Garner Helm. He was married on June 30, 1956 to Shirley Ann Patterson Helm and she preceded him in death on February 10, 2008. He served in the United States Army from January 24, 1951 until January 17, 1953. He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Claude Washington Helm Jr., Bob Helm and Garner Helm.

Mr. Helm is survived by caregiver: Cindy Sykes of Gordonsville, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Helm was at the Gordonsville TN Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes. At his request graveside services and interment were held on Sunday June 9, 2024 at 4 PM at the Gordonsville Cemetery with Bro. Dickie Johnson officiating.
