Obit – Mr. Cedric Wester Lancaster
Mr. Cedric Wester Lancaster, age 75 of Gordonsville, TN, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Macon Community Hospital.
Mr. Lancaster was born June 4, 1949, a son of the late Mack Lancaster and Beulah Wester Lancaster. He was also preceded in death by Sisters; Carolyn Starks and Thelma Jarrett and by Brothers; Wilson (Jean) Lancaster and Wirtlee (Iren) Lancaster.
Cedric was a 1967 graduate of Gordonsville High School. In 1970 he married Carolyn King. This union was blessed with three children; Marcus King, Chante Lancaster, and Lisa (David) McKinley.
He worked at Hackett’s Meat Company, McDonald Meat Company, and A&H Freight. He also worked for Yellow Freight for numerous years until he retired. After retirement, Cedric started Lancaster’s Processing which he owned and operated for over 20 years.
Mr. Lancaster is survived by Wife of 54 years; Carolyn Lancaster. Three children; Marcus King, Chante Lancaster, and Lisa (David) McKinley. Eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Sister; Sue Carrick. Special friends; Phillip, Rachel, and Bryson Slagle.
Funeral Services for Mr. Lancaster were conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 3PM with Pastor Tyrone Coleman officiating. Interment followed in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be made to Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
