Wildflower Nutrition settles in to new home

Some people may not be familiar with “Bees Knees” but it’s a favorite at Wildflower Nutrition.

Besides pleasing to the taste, it’s one of the many nutritious, energizing drinks on the cafe’s menu.

Owned by husband wife team Christie and Christopher Steele, Wildflower Nutrition opened at its new location in July at the former Sonic Drive-In restaurant site on Main Street and West College Avenue in Carthage.

For those not familiar, Wildflower Nutrition is all about providing healthy options offering a variety of “pick me up” teas, protein filled shakes, as well as protein bowls.

It’s clean energy provided through the vitamins and minerals and the absence of sugar, describes co-owner Christie Steele.

While employed at a Mt. Juliet dental office a couple of years ago, Christie was flirting with idea of a change in occupation.

One day she stopped at a nutrition cafe in the Wilson County town to try one of their drinks.

“It made me feel better after drinking it,” Steele recalls.
