Obit – Mrs. Mary Sue Neville Angel
Mary Sue Neville Angel, age 88, of South Carthage went to be with her heavenly Father at 12:00 a.m. on August 18th at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital West following a brief illness with her family at her side.
Born April 11,1936 in Brush Creek, TN, she was the daughter of Bro. Alton and Willie Walden Neville. She was preceded in death by husband Carl Luke Angel who died 11/18/1977, by sisters, Marie Adair, Ann Jennings, and Ethel Barrett, and a brother Carl Neville, and a step-daughter Barbara Angel Robertson.
Mrs. Angel was formerly employed by the Carthage Shirt Factory, Genesco, and retired from Hartmann Luggage.
She is survived by son Carlos Conner of Watertown, daughter Debra (Glen) Cousino of Watertown, James (Natalie) Conner of Mount Juliet, daughter Janis Rittenberry of Watertown, son Thomas (Suzanne) Angel of Tanglewood, and son Scott Angel (Jennifer Denton) of Carthage. Step-sons Steve and Mark Angel, granddaughters April Walker, Jennifer Malone, Debralee Suter, Janet Kyle, Kelli Sharpe, Faye Tyree, Lindsey Angel-Hackett, Stephanie Duff, Jessica Hight, Rebecca Hale, and Serenity Myers, grandsons Scot Conner, Brandon Conner, Dustin Angel, Ryan Angel, Conner Rittenberry, and Matthew Angel, 28 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, brother James (Patricia) Neville; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Angel is at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home where funeral services are scheduled to be conducted Thursday, August 22nd at 11AM with Dr. Tim Frank and Bro. Ryan Angel officiating. Interment followed in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Wednesday, August 21st from 4pm-7pm and on Thursday, August 22 after 9am until service time at 11am.
The family has requested memorials to RUF Campus Ministry at Tennessee Tech University.
