LADY OWLS REIGN; Smith Co. girls soccer claims 5th straight district crown, outscore 5-1A foes 40-0

The Smith County Lady Owls Soccer Team has done it again.  For the fifth year in a row they are District Champions.  The Lady Owls finished this regular season 11-2-1 with a District Record of 6-0. This past week the District Tournament was hosted at York Institute.  On Tuesday Smith County played York in the Semi Finals and came away with a 7-0 win.  Aubrey Felice scored four times with assists from Sophie Shoemake, Catie Belle McCarter, Briley Grisham, and Addie Cripps. Aubree Spain scored with an assist from Kiley Jenkins.  Kiley Jenkins added two scores with assists from Aubrey Felice and Addie Cripps.  Jackson County then played Cannon County, Cannon won 4-0 to land their spot in the Championship vs Smith County.

On Thursday night, Smith County and Cannon County met up for the Championship game.  Smith County won with a score of 2-0.  Kiley Jenkins scored on a free kick and Aubrey Felice scored on a penalty kick.  Felice now has a career goal count of 129. These two games added onto the regular season District matches brings the Lady Owls District tally to 8-0 with a 40-0 score sheet.
