One person was charged and a vehicle seized during a sheriffs department investigation.

Meanwhile, the suspect told officers “he forgot about” the cocaine which was discovered in the investigation.

K-9 officer Sgt. Junior Fields responded to a traffic stop conducted by Deputy Nathan Williams at the Alexandria Exit on Interstate 40.

During the investigation, Deputy Williams located a black case with one ounce of marijuana bagged, a marijuana grinder, rolling papers and a baggie continuing three grams of cocaine, according to an offense report filed by Sgt. Fields.

The driver of the vehicle told officers “he knew he had the marijuana but had forgotten about the cocaine”, according to the officer’s report.
