Storm dumps five inches of rain; Slide closes Highway 141 in Lancaster
By Eddie West Staff Writer
Heavy rainfall resulted in flash flooding and other problems around the county Saturday.
One of the more serious problems occurred in the Lancaster community where a section of embankment to the Caney Fork River on Highway 141/Lancaster Highway gave way.

The location of the slide area is just west of the DeKalb County line in Smith County.

Anywhere from three to more than five inches fell Saturday.
