Obit – Ms. Karol Stanley

Ms. Karol Stanley of the Smith Bend Community in Jackson County passed peacefully from this life into eternity at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning April 8, 2025 with her family at her bedside at their Rarick Lane home. She was pronounced deceased at 2:59 a.m. by Gentiva Hospice of Livingston who had been loving assisting her family during Ms. Karol final days.

Ms. Stanley was at the Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home and will be cremated at the Cumberland Family Services in Algood. The family will hold a private service at a later date in Nashville.

Ms. Stanley was born Jerry Karol McDaniels in Fayetteville in Lincoln County, Tennessee on April 25, 1946 and was the only child of the late Fannie Mae McDaniel.

She was predeceased in death by her former husband, Donald Ezell Stanley.

Ms. Karol, a non-denominational Christian, was a 1965 graduate of Hune-Fogg High School in Nashville.

She had recently sold her East Nashville home and relocated to the Smith Bend Community to be with her family.

Ms. Stanley was a longtime service representative for the former Service Merchandise Corporation in Nashville and retired with the same position from T-Mobile in 2011.

Surviving is her daughter, Karol Stanley and husband Matt Dicker, granddaughter, Kendall Gourley and her son Michael Gourley all of the Smith Bend Community; grandson, Gabriel Dicker of Clarksville.
