Investigations result in several arrests
By Eddie West Staff Writer
Two people face charges after the deadly drug fentanyl was discovered inside a vehicle following a traffic stop made by a sheriffs department deputy.
Deputy Nathan Williams stopped the vehicle on Gordonsville Highway around 4:17 p.m. on May 22, for having a non-working brake light. K-9 officer Sgt. Junior Fields arrived on the scene after the stop was made near a convenience market in Gordonsville.
A male and two females were inside the vehicle.
When the stop was made, the officers observed a “front seat passenger moving and stuffing something between the seats”, according to an offense report filed by Deputy Williams.
