Obit – Mrs. Debbie Boblett

Hiwassee Community homemaker, Mrs. Debbie Boblett, departed her earthly journey peacefully at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville with her daughter Mistty & niece Carla at her bedside at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday evening February 3, 2026. She was admitted December 30th receiving treatment for cancer and died at the age of 64, three days before her 65th birthday.

Mrs. Boblett was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home and had requested of her family to be cremated. That was performed at the Cumberland Family Services in Algood.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date in Little Rock, Arkansas. There will be no visitation locally.

She was one of six children of the late George Junior Boblett who died at the age of 60 in 1980 and Sarah Ann Franklin Boblett who was died at the age of 80 on June 18, 2007 and was born Debra Sue Boblett in Fillmore in Ventura County, California on February 6, 1961.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Fay Boblett Kidder who died November 15, 2024 at the age of 73, George Boblett and Stanley Boblett.

The Boblett family relocated to the Hiwassee Community from Little Rock, Arkansas in 1989.

Mrs. Boblett was a longtime employee at the Snow-White Drive-In in Lebanon before her retirement in 2016.

She was a non-denominational Christian.

Surviving is her three children, Mistty Boblett Smith and husband Jason of Lebanon, Gary Abbott and wife Donna of Buna, Texas, Jeffery Abbott and wife Halie of the Hiwassee Community; sister, Georgia Boblett Farguson and husband Derwood “Buster” of Little Rock, Arkansas, brother, Glen Boblett also of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Jaden and Gracie Smith, Garyson and Emma Sue Abbott, Paxton Abbott, Claire Harper.
