Obit – Mr. Joe Robert Goodall

Mr. Joe Robert Goodall, age 70, of Carthage, TN, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones at Highpoint Health Riverview in Carthage, TN. He was a cherished husband, brother, and father. His presence will be missed.

Joe was born October 20, 1955 in Lebanon, TN, a son of the late Dora Ann and Jack Goodall. He graduated from Goodlettsville High School in 1973 and returned to Lebanon. He worked at Perma Pipe until his retirement on October 22, 2020.

Joe loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, yard saling, and spending time with his family.

Joe is survived by his Wife; Cathy Carr Goodall. Son; Cole. Four grandchildren. Sisters; Dianne Cozart, Janice (Richard) Theoret, Deborah (Stephen) Pollock and his best friend and brother; Jim Goodall. Step-siblings; Sharon (Mike) Burns, Jimmy Ray (Ann) Maynard, Ricky (Penny) Maynard. Mother-in-Law; Sue Carr. Special great-nephews; Coleman Carr. Numerous Goodall nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father; Dora Ann and Louis Simms. Father and step-mother; Jack and Peggy Goodall. Brother; Tony Goodall. Grandson; Trey Goodall. Grandparents; Betty and Robert Tuggle and Ada and Earl Goodall. Sister-in-Law; Marcia Goodall. Brother-in-law; Cliff Cozart. Father-in-Law; Donald Carr.

Joe wished to be cremated and have no public service. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life in August.
