Hotel Walton opening nears

Following an approximately three year, multi-million dollar renovation, opening of Hotel Walton is nearing.

The hotel, featuring a restaurant, is expected to open around the end of August or first of September, according to management.

Final renovation work and operational details for the hotel to begin accepting guests are being devised.

Also, selection of staffing for the newly renovated hotel recently began.

Hotel Walton management is in discussions with the town of Carthage concerning temporary parking for guests to unload their luggage upon arrival at the hotel.

Once the luggage is unloaded, hotel guests will park at alternative locations.

One of the county’s most noted landmarks, the multi-million dollar renovation of the historic hotel represents one of the most significant investments in the county’s history ever.
