Obit – Mrs. Jo Ann Long Wilburn

Mrs. Jo Ann Long Wilburn of Portland departed this life and entered into her heavenly home at Signature Healthcare in Portland at the age of 84 on Thursday July 9, 2026.

Eld. Donald Taylor officiated at the 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon July 14th funeral services from the chapel of the Sellars Family Heritage Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial followed in the Portland Memorial Gardens.

She was born Jo Ann Long on August 30, 1941 in Trousdale County and was the daughter of the late World War II Army Veteran, Roy Leonard Long who died January 4 1988 at the age of 70 and Estelle Mungle Long who died January 5, 1997 at the age of 74.

The family also suffered the loss of their son-in-law, Robert Franklin Coker who died at the age of 53 from cancer on April 13, 2014.

Mrs. Wilburn was the wife for over sixty-five years of Dixon Springs Community native and a member of the class of ’59 at Smith County High School, Floyd Calvin Wilburn. They were united in marriage in Georgia on December 26, 1960.

Mrs. Wilburn was a member of the 1959 graduating class at Trousdale County High School.

She was a member of the Hartsville First Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband Floyd, are their three children, Stephanie Diane Wilburn Coker of Gallatin, Scott Eric Wilburn and wife Deb of Murfreesboro, Heather Nicole Wilburn Tuliano and husband Jamie of Bowling Green, Kentucky, two sisters, Lisa Long Thompson and husband Larry of the Pleasant Shade Community, Teresa Lynn Long Daughtry and husband Herman of Foley, Alabama; brother, Roy Leonard Long Jr. of Hartsville; seven grandchildren, Sarah Coker and husband Jesse Edwards, Laura Williams and husband Josh, Isabelle Lacer, Natalie Lacer, Canon Tuliano, Brandy Forren and husband Jon, and Tiffany Treadway and husband Patrick; five great-grandchildren, Mirabel Williams, Eleanor Williams, Kayla Forren, Gracie Forren, and Millie Treadway; sister-in-law, Eudelle Wilburn Mundy and husband Steve of the Buffalo Community; brother-in-law, Carroll Wilburn of the Riddleton Community.
