Obit – Mrs. Shannon Marie Schwartz
A sweet-spirited and kind-hearted lady, Mrs. Shannon Marie Schwartz, departed this earthly life at the age of 64 on Sunday, July 5, 2026, to begin her heavenly journey with her Lord and Savior.
A memorial service to Celebrate her Life will be conducted at a time and date to be announced from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home.
Shannon was born in Detroit in Wayne County, Michigan on November 7, 1061.
Shannon was the youngest of two brothers and five sisters and was the daughter of the late Francis R. Hoose who passed away at the age of 63 on February 24, 1984 and Effie C. Hoose who passed away at the age of 64 on April 23, 1998.
In Addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eva Wakeford, Teddy Hoose, Jewel Rummel and Judy Stogsdill.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kathleen Ann Schwartz, who passed away on March 27, 2022 at the age of 26.
On December 26, 1996, Shannon was united in marriage to Ronald J. Schwartz, who preceded her in death on April 1, 2023 at the age of 57.
She had been a resident of the Smith County area since 2004.
Shannon touched countless hearts and souls throughout her life, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, kindness and compassion. She was truly a rare gem, radiating a free spirit that transcended her disability. To those who knew and loved her, Shannon was pure, genuine, and beautifully untouched by the hardships of this world.
She was a devoted mother, loving mother-in-law and second mom, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, beloved sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and treasured friend. Shannon had a remarkable way of always showing up for the people she loved. She never hesitated to offer her love, encouragement, support and kindness, and she had a special ability to uplift everyone around her.
Shannon enjoyed many things in life, including ASL karaoke, traveling with her friends and family, and most of all, spending precious time with the people she loved. Her family was her greatest joy, and the memories she created with them will forever be treasured.
Shannon leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts and cherish the beautiful moments they shared with her. She is survived by her daughters, Kitty Williams and her husband, Russ Williams, of Alexandria; Sharon Fullilove and her husband, LeAndre Fullilove, of Carthage; and Kayla Schwartz of Cookeville.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Karaline Hale, Bradyn Hale, LeAndre Fullilove, Diamond Fullilove, Hollister Huddleston, Memphis Schwartz, Julian Clark, Kathleen Schwartz, and Margarett Schwartz, Matalie Schwartz and her great-grandson, Beckett Baker.
Though Shannon’s earthly journey has come to an end, her love, laughter, kindness, and free spirit will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Her presence may no longer be beside those who loved her, but the memories she created and the love she gave will remain in their hearts forever.
Shannon was a beautiful soul who found joy in the simple things- her family, her friends, laughter, travel, music, and the precious moments spent with those she loved. Her life was a gift, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Until we meet again, may she rest peacefully in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
