Obit – Mr. Don Rollins
Lebanon native, Mr. Don Rollins, age 75 and now of Jonesborough, Tennessee died at 2:23 a.m. Wednesday morning January 17, 2024 at his son Danny’s home in Jonesborough.
Funeral services from the Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home will be conducted by Wayne Hunt at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, January 28th.
The Rollins family will receive friends on Saturday January 27th from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. and on Sunday after 12 noon at the Ligon and Bobo Funeral Home.
The Wilson County native was born Jeffery Don Rollins on April 19, 1948 and was reared in the Flatrock Community the son of the late Arthur Ray Rollins who died at the age of 66 on November 5, 1970 and Lydia E. Mofield Rollins who died July 6, 1986 at the age of 77.
He was preceded in death by a brother Arthur Ray Rollins and a niece, LeAnne Rollins Hudson; and a granddaughter, Makenzie Nicole Rollins.
Mr. Rollins attended Smith County High School.
He was a member of the Flatrock Church of Christ.
Mr. Rollins was a retired mechanic for the Wilson County School Bus Garage.
He was an avid car enthusiast and participated in many car shows, and was especially fond of Corvettes, having owned many throughout his lifetime.
He was a very talented and creative individual, having designed many creations with his God given talents throughout the years.
Surviving is his son, Jeffery Daniel Rollins of Jonesborough, wife, Kimberly Law Rollins; mother of his son, Linda Rollins of Lebanon; sister, Patsy Rollins of Hermitage; nieces, Torri Hudson Graves and husband Steve of Hermitage, Desiree Thompson and daughter Skylar of Lebanon; nephew, Eric Rollins of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Paige Rollins Justice of Watertown, Olivia Rollins of Boone, North Carolina, Brody Rollins of Kingsport, TN, and Tyler Thomson of Jonesborough; four great-grandchildren, Harlen, Kyler, Tatum, and Alden Justice; several special nieces and nephews and two especially close friends, Bobby Raines and William McGowan; along with many special friends.
