The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and sheriffs department are investigating a shooting incident where a man died in the Rawls Creek community.
The shooting took place at a Rawls Creek Road residence. The victim was identified as Theodore Taylor, 21.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday (January 30), the sheriffs department received a call about an altercation which involved a shooting.
When emergency personnel arrived on the scene the victim was still alive, Sheriff Steve Hopper said.
The man was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he passed away.
The TBI was contacted to investigate the shooting death at the request of District Attorney General Jason Lawson’s office.
The incident occurred in the 300 block of Rawls Creek Road.
