Obit – Mr. John Richard Robinson
Mr. John Richard Robinson, age 63, of Brush Creek, TN passed away on Saturday November 29, 2025.
John was born in Honesdale, PA on March 5, 1962 a son of Sandra Tooker Robinson and the late John Michael Robinson. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Alyce Mertz Robinson. He was a 1980 graduate of Gordonsville High School. He as saved on Friday April 11, 1986 at First Baptist Church in Gordonsville, TN, Bro. Johnny Young was the pastor. John was married to Loretta Kaye Silcox on February 17, 2001. He worked as a pipefitter for Filtra Systems in Gordonsville, TN for 28 years. He was a street preacher who would help anyone. He loved old cars and working on them and was a collector of many things including military items.
John is survived by his wife; Loretta Silcox Robinson of Brush Creek, TN: daughter, Amber (Todd) Mathis of Elmwood, TN: son, Xavier (Kimberly) Barnes of Brush Creek, TN: grandchildren Kylie Smith, Kinsley Mathis, and Zander Barnes: mother, Sandra Tooker Robinson of Honesdale, PA: sister-in-laws, Pam Harville and Dolores (Terry) Bowman.
John is at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes where funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Thursrday December 4, 2025 at 11 AM with interment to follow in Brush Creek Cemetery.
John’s family will receive friends on Wednesday December 3, 2025 from 3 PM until 8 PM and on Thurday after 10AM
John’s family request in his memory memorial donations be made to the funeral home.
