Obit – Ms. Lisa Harris Rich

Ms. Lisa Harris Rich, a homemaker of Carthage, was pronounced deceased at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday afternoon June 18, 2024 at the HighPoint Health – Riverview in Carthage after being discovered unresponsive at her Jefferson Avenue West home in Carthage. She was 61.

Pastor Lanny Thomas officiated at the 11 a.m. Saturday morning June 22nd funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Interment followed beside her husband in the Gazebo section at the Dixon Springs Cemetery.

She was one of three children, a daughter and two sons, born to the late Milton Lee Harris who died June 17, 2018 at the 79 and Linda Ann Angel Harris Cherry who died July 3, 1995 at the age of 52 and was born Lisa Rene Harris in Carthage on September 25, 1962.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Craig Rich who died on February 18, 2015 at the age of 52.

Ms. Rich worked in the restaurant industry for many years and mostly for her brother Marty in his Third Avenue West restaurant as a cook, which she was very proficient in preparing southern home cooked meals enjoyed by hundreds of people.

Surviving is a son, Michael (Woody) Woodard and wife Hannah of Carthage; two brothers, Marty Harris and Mickey Harris both of Carthage; four grandchildren, Kalli Woodard of Murfreesboro, Alissa Woodard, Addison Maberry and Kortland Woodard all of Carthage.
