Obit – Mr. Payten Bailey Cowan
Mr. Payten Bailey Cowan age 33, of the Love Valley Community of DeKalb Co. passed away Monday July 1, 2024 at Sumner Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Mr. Cowan was born February 27, 1991 in Lebanon, TN, son of Robert Glenn (Bobby) Cowan Jr. and Amanda Faye Green Cowan. He was a 2009 graduate of Gordonsville High School. He worked for Green Logging.
He was also preceded in death by grandparents: James Curtis Green on January 11, 2018, Robert Glenn Cowan Sr. on July 5, 2014 and Melba Jenelle Grissom Cowan on December 17, 2005.
Mr. Cowan is survived by his parents: Robert Glenn (Bobby) and Amanda Green Cowan of Love Valley Community; sister: Kristin (Brandon) Hanus of Baxter, TN; niece Evie Hanus and nephew River Hanus; grandmother: Becky Douglas Green; aunts and uncles: Curt and Marsha Green, Holly and Mark Wood, Scotty and Vicky Green, Hope and Mike Gibbs, Brenda and Eddie Paschall, and Luanne and Denny Grandinetti and many cousins.
Mr. Cowan was at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes where funeral services were conducted on Wednesday July 3, 2024, at 1PM. Interment followed in the Cowan Family Cemetery on the Cowan Family farm in the Love Valley Community of DeKalb Co.
