Obit – Mr. Hugh D. Minchey
Funeral service for Mr. Hugh D. Minchey were at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Dillard officiating. Interment followed in the Brush Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Minchey, age 86 of Lebanon passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Gallatin Health Care.
Born January 1, 1938, in Wilson County, he is the son of the late Ernest and Nellie Butler Minchey. He owned and operated Minchey’s Landscaping for many years, and was a member of Fairview Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Stevens Minchey; three sisters, Wendolene Coleman, Ruth Denney, and Nancy Agnew; and two brothers, Carl and Barry Minchey.
He is survived by daughters, Donna Whitsell and Patsy (Ben) Glunt; sister, Josie (Jack) Preston; 7 grandchildren: Minchey George, Jamie (Zach) Hebert, Dakota Whitsell, Lauren (Kyle) Neely, Anna (Cody) Johnson, Paige (John) Wiley, and Josh (Erica) Glunt; and 14 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Lebanon Senior Citizens Center or to Compassionate Hands.
