Obit – Mr. Gary Lynn Tisdale

Mr. Gary Lynn Tisdale, age 66, of the Lancaster Community of Smith County passed away Monday June 23, 2025. Gary was born September 2, 1958, son of Helen Faye Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Herbert Haley Jr. Gary was a 1977 graduate of Gordonsville High School, a Christian man and a life long farmer. He married Norma Jean Smith on September 17, 1983.

Mr. Tisdale is survived by his wife: Norma Smith Tisdale of Lancaster, TN; son and daughter-in-law: Tyler and Stephanie Tisdale of Lancaster, TN; mother: Faye Bennett Haley of Lancaster, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law: Glenda (Eddie Dale) Sykes, Tony (Tammy) Smith, Ronnie (Tina) Smith, Randy “Bear” (Marcie) Smith and Reggie (Leah) Smith.

Mr. Tisdale was at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes. There will be a private service held for the Tisdale Family.
