Obit – Mr. George “Sunshine” Franklin Grisham

Mr. George “Sunshine” Franklin Grisham, age 88, of Lebanon, TN, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023.

Mr. Grisham was born February 21, 1935 in Gordonsville, TN, a son of the late Oscar Clayton Grisham and Dollie Mai Bennett Grisham. He married Gladys Marie Grisham on July 29, 1961 and she preceded him in death on December 6, 2019. Mr. Grisham was also preceded in death by Son; Billy Oscar Grisham, Sister; Ethel Barnes, Betty Jo Starnes, Clara McCarter, Frances Bennett, and Ruby Mai Silcox, and Brothers; Billy Oscar Grisham and Crocket Grisham. Mr. Grisham was a 1959 graduate of Gordonsville High School. He retired from the State on Tennessee as a maintenance foreman after 31 years of service.

Mr. Grisham is survived by Children; Donna Radtke, Kathy Grisham, David (Laurie) Grisham, Terry Grisham, Dale Grisham, Danny Grisham, Tabitha (Fred) Harper, and Melissa (Steve) Garriot. Sixteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren also survived.

Funeral Services for Mr. Grisham were conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 12PM with Eld. James T. Gibbs officiating. Interment will followed in the Gordonsville Cemetery.

Visitation with the family was at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Tuesday from 2PM until 7PM and on Wednesday after 10AM until service time at 12 noon.
