Mr. Tim Henley of Lafayette was pronounced deceased at the age of 63 at 8:41 p.m. Monday morning November 20, 2023 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin where he was admitted earlier that day following a period of declining health.
Mr. Henley was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. He will be cremated at the Cumberland Family Services in Algood and the cremains will be buried with his brother in the Garden of the Cross at the Smith County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Henley was born Timothy Carl Henley in Gary in Lake County, Indiana on June 10, 1960 and was one of six children, a daughter and five sons, of the late Carl Wilson Henley who died at the age of 74 on April 25, 2004 and the late Pearlene Margaret Louise Howard Henley who died February 11, 1999 at the age of 59.
His only deceased sibling is a brother, Thomas Richard Henley, who died May 21, 2005 at the age of 41.
Mr. Henley was a 1978 graduate of Thomas Edison High School in Lake Station, Indiana.
He was a member of the Carthage Church of God of Prophecy in the Watervale Community.
Mr. Henley was a longtime line cook at the former Ryan’s Cafeteria in Lebanon before becoming disabled.
Surviving Mr. Henley is his sister, Ruth Henley Justice and husband Danny of the Lancaster Community; three brothers, James Henley and Stephen Henley of Lafayette, Mark Henley of Portage, Indiana.
