Mrs. Amy Rae Kuhns, a homemaker of Lafayette, was pronounced deceased at the age of 60 at 1:40 p.m. Christmas Day afternoon, December 25, 2023, at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin where she was admitted December 14th suffering from congestive heart failure.
Tommy Manning delivered the memorial service eulogy which was held on Thursday afternoon January 4th at 1 p.m. from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kuhns was born Amy Rae Fisher on October 5, 1963 in Glendora in Los Angeles County, California and was one of four children of the late Charles “Fuzz” Russell Fisher Jr. who died November 24, 1996 at the age of 67 and Edna Mae Wilson Fisher who died December 21, 2014 at the age of 82.
In Las Vegas, Nevada on April 25, 1981, she was united in marriage to Long Beach, California native Fred Quinton Kuhns. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2021 at the age of 60 just 21 days shy of forty years of marriage.
Mrs. Kuhns was a Certified Nurse Assistant working at Smith County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carthage.
She had attended the Full Gospel Church in Carthage.
Surviving are four children, Joshua Kuhns and wife Heather of the Lancaster Community, Samantha Kuhns and friend Shane Bentley of Lafayette, Misty Kuhns and friend Thiagl Meria of Carthage, Nick Kuhns of Carthage; two sisters, Patricia Simon of Redding, California, Alana Arps of Greenville, Kentucky; brother, Charles Fisher of St. Petersburg, Florida; eight grandchildren.
