Obit – Ms. Lisa Washer
Ms. Lisa Washer age 54 of South Carthage was discovered deceased Friday morning August 23, 2024 at the Kristen Lane home of her son in Gainesboro where she was visiting. She was pronounced deceased by a Paramedic with the Jackson County Ambulance Service at 9:30 a.m. and transported by ambulance service to the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home.
Ms. Washer suffered from Coronary Pulmonary Disease and had been battling the illness for quite a while.
She will be cremated at the Cumberland Family Services in Algood and no services have been announced by the family at this time.
She was one of three children, two daughters and a son of Wanda Mai Givens Washer of South Carthage and the late Roger Dale Washer Sr. who died at the age of 53 on February 6, 2003 and was born Melissa Lynn Washer at the former Carthage General Hospital in South Carthage on January 11, 1970.
Ms. Washer was a graduate of Smith County High School.
She was a longtime employee of Turner’s Citgo in South Carthage.
Ms. Washer was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her mother Wanda, she is survived by a son, Qualyn Bingham of Gainesboro, a grandson, Oaklee Cam Bingham also of Gainesboro; a sister, Mindy Washer Singletary and husband Levi of South Carthage; brother, Roger Dale Washer Jr. also of South Carthage.
