A man driving without being buckled up faces multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine and child abuse/neglect, following a sheriffs department investigation.
Deputy Nathan Williams was on patrol on Interstate 40 in the Gordonsville area when he noticed a male subject driving without wearing his seatbelt.
The driver exited the interstate at the Gordonsville Exit, pulling into a Gordonsville business where Deputy Williams made contact with the driver.
During a search, Deputy Williams located 2 grams of methamphetamine along with a pink “snorter commonly used to ingest meth” according the officer’s offense report.
“When I searched the middle console I located a revolver which he stated before the search he had a gun in the vehicle,” Deputy Williams report states.
The male subject allegedly admitted the meth was his and “he had used some before he left Texas”, according to the deputy’s report.
Also inside the vehicle was a 19 month old son.
