Pipes stored in Tanglewood part of project

Large pipes stored beside Highway 25/Dixon Springs Highway near the former Riverview Raceway in the Tanglewood community have caught the attention of passing motorists. The pipes will be used as part of East Tennessee Natural Gas’ Ridgeline Expansion Project which will pass through the northern section of the county. East Tennessee Natural Gas is owned and operated by Enbridge, a Canadian company which has headquarters in Houston, Texas. When completed, the Ridgeline Expansion project will run from Trousdale County eastward to Roane County. A “Notice to Proceed” with the project was given on October 7 by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
