Obit – Mr. Anthony “Tony” Michael Blazina
Mr. Anthony “Tony” Michael Blazina, age 77, of Elmwood, TN, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2026 with family by his side.
Tony was born in Santa Monica, CA, on August 9, 1949, to Anna Marie Blazina and John Paul Blazina.
Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
A talented and independent man, he took great pride in all he accomplished throughout his life. He will be remembered for his intelligence, determination, love for life, and distinctive personality, as well as for the unwavering care and devotion he gave to those closest to him. He was a man of strong principles who valued honesty, loyalty, fairness, and doing what he believed was right.
Tony proudly served in the United States Navy and was deployed to Vietnam, serving from a base in Guam during the Vietnam War. His military service was an important part of his life and reflected his commitment to duty and country.
He lived a life that was full and adventurous, including being an avid sailor for many years, traveling around the world, enjoying outdoor activities, and particularly spending time with his wife on their Elmwood farm caring for his horses, cattle, and German Shepherd and enjoying nature.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Dr. Linda Blazina; his son, Robert (Melissa) Harris; his granddaughter, Lindsay (Josh) Robinson; his great-grandson, Brice; brother, Lawrence (Debra) Blazina; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him deeply. He also leaves behind his German Shepherd, Shamar, who loved him dearly and who brought him great joy. Tony brought meaning to the lives of those around him, and his legacy will continue through the family and friendships he cherished.
Tony lived life on his own terms, with strength, independence, and a genuine sense of self. He will be remembered with the deepest love and gratitude for who he was, all he accomplished, and the lasting impact he made on the many lives he touched. He will be forever missed by all who loved him.
A private service will be held at a later date.
