August election arrives

The August 1 election takes place today (Thursday, August 1).

Elections include a County General Election, South Carthage City Election and State Primary Election.

Early voting in the election concluded with a half-day Saturday.

As of the end of early voting Saturday, 475 residents have voted in the election either by early vote or mail-in ballot.

In the County General Election, only two full-time offices are up this year.
