Obit – Mr. Andy Petty
Mr. Andy Petty of Jenkins Hill Road in the Hickman Community departed this life at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon August 6, 2025 at the age of 63 at the Waters of Gallatin Health Care Center where he was first admitted June 26th.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon August 9th from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Following the 3 p.m. services conducted by Eld. David Norris, burial was near his grandparents, Carl and Inez Burton, in the Beasley-Brooks section of the Dixon Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Petty was born Andy Burton Petty in Lebanon on February 19, 1962 and was the son of Jack Petty of the Stonewall Community and June Burton Hulings of Highland, Michigan.
On February 3, 2006, he was united in marriage to Riddleton Community native, the former Pamela Jean Watson.
Mr. Petty was an employee of the William L. Bonnell Co. in Gordonsville where when he left on December 18, 2009, he was supervisor of the extrusion department.
He attended Smith County High School and was a recipient of his General Education Degree.
Mr. Petty was saved at the age of 30 in 1992 and was of the Missionary Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents, are his two sons, Chris Petty of Nashville, Staff Sergent Andrew Petty, U. S. Marines, Jacksonville, North Carolina; sister, Jackie Suddeth and husband Larry of Bowling Green, Kentucky; mother-in-law, Betty Woodard Watson of the Riddleton Community; two step-sisters, Tena Robey and husband Louie of Nashville, Vona Coble of the Stonewall Community; two step sons, Scotty Claridy of Hartsville and Keith Claridy of the Riddleton Community; four step-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
